The spotlight was firmly on privacy of customers and its effects on enterprise software as SAP unveiled a new customer relationship management (CRM) software suite, the C/4HANA. The launch of the comprehensive software suite marks a major push of the Walldorf, Germany headquartered company into CRM, as it consolidates a multitude of its offerings into the new software suite.

Addressing the 22,000 strong turnout at the annual SAP conference – SAPPHIRE2018 in Orlando in the United States, SAP chief executive Bill McDermott signalled his intention to take the fight to Salesforce and other competitors in the CRM space claiming that SAP’s software stack, which now goes deep into the processes in the backend and the front end, will help companies keep consumers at the centre of their strategies.
